Commonwealth’s Attorney
The Commonwealth’s Attorney is an elected prosecutor of felony crimes. The office has the authority to investigate persons, grant immunity to witnesses and accused criminals, and plea bargain with defendants. This is a partisan race, so you will see political parties on your ballot.
